Hackers Can No Longer Develop Malware Using OpenAI’s ChatGPT
Published
3 weeks agoon

OpenAI is already putting efforts to resist their vulnerabilities thus hackers cannot develop malware using ChatGPT
ChatGPT had the same problem as any other technology in that it allowed hackers to seek for vulnerabilities. ChatGPT, which was developed by OpenAI, aimed to respond to complex conversations and reply more probabilistically and humanely. The purpose of ChatGPT’s traction was to be employed for morally upright actions. Despite the fact that ChatGPT can be used to help engineers write code, hackers began writing malware. An additional concern is that fake news and misinformation could be disseminated using ChatGPT. However, hackers cannot develop malware using ChatGPT, OpenAI has already started addressing this issue.
Russian-based cybercriminals are trying to get over OpenAI’s ChatGPT constraints so they can use ChatGPT for illicit reasons, as per security company Check Point Research (CPR). Hackers who want to access ChatGPT in Russia are conversing about how to get around limits on IP addresses, bank cards, and phone numbers on hidden hacking forums. CPR released snapshots of what they observed and issues a warning about hackers’ rising desire to use ChatGPT to expand illicit activity.
As ChatGPT uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology, cybercriminals are becoming more and more engaged in it since it can help them operate more economically. The likelihood is that hackers are attempting to integrate and evaluate ChatGPT into its routine criminal acts. Cybercriminals are getting more and more interested in ChatGPT as a result of its AI technology’s potential to increase the profitability of hackers.
In just five days after its launch, ChatGPT had attracted over one million users due to its capacity to generate responses for language and sometimes even programming code, which enabled OpenAI to achieve a spectacular launching for the Artificial intelligence system. OpenAI’s developers are sweating out to find the strategies to find the vulnerability in the code.

Interest in AI soars
ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot that allows users to have human-like conversations. The technology reached 100 million users within two months of its launch as it became famous for the kind of responses it generated.
Meanwhile, ChatGPT’s success has renewed interest in artificial intelligence (AI), with leading technology companies like China’s Baidu and search engine giant Google revealing plans to develop their AI-powered chatbots.

ChatGPT Calls For AI Regulation! Can AI Be Tamed Ever?

Breton, an EU official proposed specific rules regulating products like chatGPT to mitigate risks
ChatGPT, the versatile AI chatbot has become one of the fastest-growing consumer applications and at the same time has raised serious concerns about the lack of regulations, for ChatGPT in particular and AI in general. ChatGPT is a generative AI model, and most of the problems arise due to the lack of proper data sets that train them. The biases, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies account for harmful content. On the other hand, though data filtering is possible, it leads to too much control making the model dunk in the first place. The issues with inconsistent data are not new to OpenAI as they have been grappling with it for years for developing DALLE, a text-to-image generation tool. When the team found explicit imagery in conflict with the general societal values it added the filters only to make the app avoid images of women!! In the case of ChatGPT, the testing has been on point but some of the early users found ways to breach the guardrails included in the design. And as a result, it could be prompted to generate racially inclined text. No wonder, a popular chatbot like ChatGPT calls for AI regulation.
Do Tech Companies Feel the Responsibility?
Most tech companies either have a reactive approach or totally evade making the tools accessible to the general public. Amazon’s pulling out its AI recruitment tool or the instances how Microsoft’s Tay or Meta’s Blenderbot or the way Galactica was pulled down are good examples. Tech giants like Google, Microsoft, and Meta are openly seeking government regulations even though their origin lies in the fear of a Government ban on the products – a kind of safety valve for knee-jerk reactions by Governments. The review processes, at the developmental stage and post-developmental stage are projected as a priority by them. Anna Makanju, OpenAI’s head of public policy is of opinion that the company steers clear of controversial areas and therefore prevents the application from speaking about those topics. However, she warns in the future the generative language models will reach a phase where the users will customize them according to their personal worldviews, a clear red flag for tech companies. It demands certain checks, which external bodies like governments and regulatory agencies will be in a good position to place.
ChatGPT Under Fire
The recently concluded US-EU agreement on regulating artificial intelligence is aimed at addressing larger issues rather than just privacy concerns and has significant consequences for startups as well as governments. As a first move pointing at the loopholes chatGPT carries, an EU official Thierry Breton proposed specific rules regulating certain concerns to mitigate risks from products like ChatGPT. “As showcased by ChatGPT, AI solutions can offer great opportunities for businesses and citizens, but can also pose risks. This is why we need a solid regulatory framework to ensure trustworthy AI based on high-quality data,” he told Reuters in an exclusive interview. Also, he said it is important for people to understand they are communicating with a bot that is not a human being nor can it ever think like one. EU draft rule categorizes ChatGPT as a general-purpose AI system that can be used for multiple purposes, and high-risk jobs like recruitment are not an exception. Breton said European Commission, EU Council, and European Parliament are working closely to provide further clarifications on the rules regarding the AI Act meant for general-purpose AI systems. He requested OpenAI to cooperate with the developers of high-risk AI systems so as to make the compliance with proposed AI Act easy.

Top 10 ChatGPT Chrome Extension Plugins You Should Be Aware Of

Even though ChatGPT didn’t go public until November 30, 2022, the level of popularity it attained was irrational. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that it is the most widely used AI tool. It may respond to inquiries on many subjects as if you were speaking with a human. It may be used for research, solving code issues, and other things.
ChatGPT is unquestionably excellent, yet it has certain drawbacks. These restrictions, which might be anything from just bothersome to entirely useless, can destroy your experience. Thankfully, you can use a few ChatGPT Chrome Extension Plugins to your needs. Even if you are unaware of ChatGPT’s restrictions, these Chrome extensions will improve your efficiency. And because you unquestionably deserve the finest, we’ve created a list of the top ChatGPT Chrome Extension Plugins.
-
Web ChatGPT
ChatGPT has been taught how to operate with a sizable online database of data. However, it occasionally provides out-of-date information. But you may fix this issue with the Chrome plugin for WebChatGPT. If WebChatGPT is installed on your computer, the extension enhances the chatbot’s functionality by giving it the most recent and accurate results for the inquiry you typed. The subsequent responses that the bot offers are more pertinent.
-
ChatGPT for Google
ChatGPT for Google is a useful extension for users who want ChatGPT functionality to be available everywhere but would also like to decide when ChatGPT answers should be displayed in response to searches. You might not want all of your requests to be sent to ChatGPT, after all.
-
Promfey
You might not be used to ChatGPT if you find that speaking your requests or orders is more efficient than typing them. Unfortunately, typing your inquiries into a chatbot is the only method to communicate with it. Promptheus, however, is a Chrome extension that might assist you in fixing this issue.
-
TweetGPT
If your line of business involves tweets, TweetGPT could be the perfect extension for you. We are aware that it might be difficult to come up with tweets or tweet answers that are just funny or sarcastic. To generate new tweets or tweet answers for you, TweetGPT leverages ChatGPT.
-
Summary of YouTube with ChatGPT
You won’t have to go through really long YouTube videos that take forever to explain something with the help of this addon. If the extension is enabled, the video’s right-hand side will display a transcript window. But more crucially, ChatGPT offers a transcript summary.
-
Merlin
You should look at Merlin if OpenAI’s ChatGPT isn’t sufficient for you and you want it to be there for you at every turn. True to its name, it employs ChatGPT’s magic across your browser in a fairly logical manner. Merlin ports ChatGPT to the full browser, so you don’t even need to go to the extension icon.
-
ChatGPT for Search Engines
This can be preferred over the first two extensions if you use Bing. They’ll work in Google, but not Bing. Similar to how it was described earlier, ChatGPT for Search Engines functions. You will receive immediate results from ChatGPT for the search you entered in the search field, in a little window on the right, whenever you’re on any search engine—Bing, Google, or DuckDuckGo. It is the ideal method for obtaining the best of both worlds.
-
ChatGPT Everywhere
The main drawback to ChatGPT is that it can only be used in a separate browser tab. Every time you want to engage with an AI, you must travel to a certain location. But you can have an AI bot practically everywhere with ChatGPT Everywhere. You may access AI on any website and even during Google searches by using the ChatGPT Everywhere extension.
-
ChatGPT Writer
You may use ChatGPT Writer on any website, and it pays special attention to assist you with writing. To receive the created email or message, all you need to do is tell ChatGPT Writer what to write about. Simply click the button to copy the response, and then paste it where you want to send it.
-
Take Stock
Not simply movies, for which you may occasionally require a succinct description; this also applies to texts and articles. And without leaving the page or copying and pasting, you may quickly acquire a summary for lengthy content using Summarize.
