The Nanjing Government scholarship program has been created to attract international students to study at higher educational institutions in the Nanjing Municipality. This scholarship program to study in Asia main goal is to encourage outstanding international students to pursue higher education in Nanjing by providing them with scholarships to cover tuition and accommodation fees.

The program is open for all foreign students who are currently enrolled or planning to attend Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Nanjing for Non-degree students (1-year Chinese language students), undergraduate, Master and Ph.D. degree studies. Nanjing Government Scholarship Benefits
The Nanjing Municipal Government Scholarship can be used to cover tuition and accommodation fees. This government scholarship provides the following benefits:

Masters and Ph.D.: 20,000 RMB/year
Undergraduates: 10,000 RMB/year
Non-degree students: 5,000 RMB/semester
one-semester students: 2500 RMB/semester.

Nanjing Government Scholarship Eligibility
To apply for this scholarship program to study in China, candidates must:

be non-Chinese citizens in good health and friendly to China.
abide by the laws and decrees of the Chinese government and meet the requirements of admission to their host institution.
have a good learning attitude and a good academic record of the highest degree with the minimum averaged score 70 (out of 100) or CGPA 3.0 (out of 4).
for undergraduate programs must have a senior high school diploma with a good academic performance. Applicants for the master’s degree program must have a bachelor’s degree while doctoral degree applicants must have a master’s degree.

Age limits: applicants must be under the age of

28 to apply for undergraduate programs

35 to apply for master’s degree programs

40 to apply for PhD degree programs.

Applicants cannot be recipients of other scholarships offered by Chinese government, local governments or other organizations simultaneously.
Applicants who have obtained HSK certificate or other certificate for Chinese language proficiency or Chinese language study can enjoy the priority of this scholarship. However, special considerations are allowed for applicants who apply for English-medium programs.
