The P.E.O International Scholarship For Women

In order to help international women students attend graduate school in the United States or Canada, the International Peace Scholarship Fund was founded in 1949.

About The Scholarship

A program called the International Peace Scholarship Fund, which was started in 1949, offers scholarships to deserving women from other nations so they can pursue graduate degrees in the US and Canada. P.E.O. members think that education is essential to promoting international harmony and understanding.

A student can receive a maximum of $12,500. Individual requirements may dictate the awarding of smaller sums.

The award is not meant to pay for all living or academic expenses, but it is based on documented needs. The applicant must disclose additional financial resources at the time of application that is sufficient to cover her anticipated costs. Personal and family finances, tuition waivers, labor scholarships, teaching assistantships, study grants, and other scholarships are a few examples of additional resources.

The Loyola University Law Scholarship Program

Applications from qualified applicants are being sought for the Loyola University Rule of Law Scholarship for the academic year 2022–2023.

Scholarship Sponsor

Loyola Universit, Chicago

Located in Chicago, Illinois, Loyola Institution Chicago (often known as Loyola or LUC) is a private Jesuit research university. Loyola is one of the biggest Catholic universities in the country and was established by the Society of Jesus in 1870. Saint Ignatius of Loyola is its eponym. Programs in medicine, nursing, and health sciences are offered through Loyola’s professional schools, which are supported by the Loyola University Medical Center. It is listed as belonging to the category “R2: Doctoral Universities – High Research Activity”.

Loyola University, which consists of thirteen colleges and institutions, enrolls about 17,000 students and offers more than 80 undergraduate and 140 graduate/professional programs. There are six Loyola campuses spread throughout the Chicago metropolitan region, a campus in Rome, guest programs in Beijing and Ho Chi Minh City, and more. A little more than seven miles north of the Loop, in the Chicago communities of Rogers Park and Edgewater, is the main Lake Shore Campus.

The sports departments of Loyola, known as the Ramblers, participate in NCAA Division I as Atlantic 10 Conference teams.

The only Illinois institution to win the NCAA men’s basketball title was Loyola in 1963. The Ramblers have also won the men’s volleyball NCAA championship twice (in 2014 and 2015).

Many prominent Chicago-based companies’ executives, including those of McDonald’s and Baxter International, as well as numerous local and federal political figures, including Michael Madigan, the longtime former Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives, are among the more than 150,000 Loyola alumni. Guggenheim and MacArthur fellowships, as well as Emmy, Grammy, Peabody, and Pulitzer honors, have all been won by former students of Loyola.

Arnold Damen, a Jesuit priest, and educator founded St. Ignatius College on June 30, 1870. Chicago had a population of less than 300,000 at the time, and as a result, the initial campus was located much nearer to the city center, along Roosevelt Road. The institution changed its name to Loyola University in 1909, and in 1912 it started moving to the Lake Shore Campus. Today, the original structure is a part of St. Ignatius College Prep, which is situated next to the University of Illinois at Chicago.

About The Scholarship

Both domestic and foreign students may submit an application for the Loyola University Law Scholarship. The grant enables graduate-level coursework in Loyola University Chicago’s Rule of Law for Development program(s). As of the deadline, interested candidates may submit an application for the scholarship.

You are a current graduate student at Stanford who will submit an application to add a second full-time graduate degree program so that you can begin KHS and the new program in the same academic year.

You are currently enrolled in your first year of the PhD program at Stanford, and you plan to apply to KHS so that you can begin KHS in your second year of PhD enrollment.

Second, you must have graduated with a U.S. bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university in January 2016 or later.
